We are now running tours twice a week. Tuesdays and Saturdays, still starting at 11am from outside the Bristol Royal Marriott Hotel.
Bristol is a great city. In fact, Bristol is a fantastic city. Here Walking Bristol we believe not enough people know this. So we run free walking tour to help.

Take the chance to delve into the history of Bristol, meet some of the characters raised here, explore their ideas and see the work they’ve done; you can be sure you’ll come away impressed. Did you know, for example, that the first ever blanket was allegedly made here? I don’t know what people used before that, big sheets of card maybe? It’s just one of a long list of accomplishments made by Bristolians throughout the ages.
Our aim is that you come along to one of our tours and find out how Bristol became the city it is today, as well as hear some cracking stories, laugh at some great jokes and stop for an indulgent lunch at the unique home-of-the-Bristol-pie, Pieminister.
And yes our tours are free. No, not because they are rubbish but because we believe that Bristol’s story should be heard by everybody, regardless of budget. Thats why we survive on tips, so that anybody from the backpacker to the Eton graduate can come along.
We look forward to meeting you for a stroll through Bristol’s past.
